Wine Tour in Hungary

1st day Departure for the Lake Balaton. Visit a winery, then getting to Badacsony where lunch with wine-tasting. Short way to Monoszló where you get to know the best red wine of the Balaton region. Overnight in Siófok.

2nd day Travel to Pécs, sightseeing  tour. Visit a winery in Villány. Wine region Villány– the greatest red wines of Hungary. The red wines in Villány are intensive, have a high alcohol content and a heavy body. Accomodation in Pécs.

3rd day Travel to Kecskemét. Horse-show, carriage driving, lunch with wine in an old style restaurant. Travel to Eger. Dinner with wine-tasting. Accomodation.

4th day Sightseeing in Eger. Dinner with wine-tasting.
Eger is a historical wine region. The famous wine of Eger is the Egri Bikavér(Bull’s Blood). Accommodation in Eger.

5th day After breakfast travel to Sárospatak.
Wine-tasting in Rákóczi Wine Cellar. Visiting the Rákóczi Castle. Wine-tasting with lunch in Tokaj, home of the most famous wine all over the world.

Wine region Tokaj hill – Tokaj is specialized for white wines. Tokaj wines have a heavy body and are reach in acidity and natural sugar.

6th day Travel to Noszvaj. Wine-tasting in the Thummerer Wine Cellar.
Lunch with wine-tasting in Farkasmály with different wines of the Mátraalja region.
These wines of Mátraalja are fresh and have nice character.
Return to Budapest, evening boat cruise, accomodation.

7th day Sightseeing in Budapest. Travel to Szentendre. Lunch in the artists’s town with wine-tasting in the National Wine Museum. Wandering in the narrow streets of the charming town. Dinner with folklore program. Accomodation in Budapest.

8th day After breakfast departure.
