TASTE OF HUNGARY

1st day Arrival in Budapest. Transfer to the hotel. Welcome cocktail. Evening boat cruise. Accommodation in Budapest.

2nd day After breakfast sightseeing in Budapest.
Visiting the most famous sights: Gellért Hill, Castle district with the Matthias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion, Parliament and Opera House (outside), Heroes’ Square.
In the afternoon excursion to Szentendre, picturesque town in the Danube Bend, visiting the Ceramic Collection of Margit Kovács. Return to Budapest, dinner with folklore programme in a typical Hungarian restaurant. Accommodation in Budapest.

3rd day Visiting Siófok, the „capital” of Balaton.
Then crossing the lake by ferry-boat, getting to Badacsony where lunch with wine-tasting. Visit the Tihany peninsila with the outstanding Abbey church.
Walking along the beautiful shore of Balatonfüred.

4th day After breakfast sightseeing in Kecskemét (85 kms from Budapest), the most typical town of the Great Hungarian Plain. Reception in the Town Hall. The trip continues to the puszta: greeting by Hungarian specialities, horse-show, carriage driving, lunch with wine. In the afternoon back to Budapest. Accommodation in Budapest.

5th day After breakfast departure.

WESTERN HUNGARY

1st day Arrival in Sopron in the afternoon. Meeting with our guide. Sightseeing: walking tour int the old city „intra muros” where every building has its own history.
Accommodation in Sopron.

2nd day After breakfast getting to Fertőd. Visiting the Esterházy Palace. Optional: train ride by an old-timer in Nagycenk. Lunch in the Nagycenk Palace. Travel to Sümeg. Sightseeing. Accommodation in the surrounding.

3rd day You can take a bath in the world famous warm water lake of Hévíz. Lunch with wine in Badacsony, you can enjoy the beautiful panorama over the Lake Balaton. Getting to Kőszeg. Sightseeing. Accommodation in Kőszeg or its surrounding.

4th day After breakfast departure.

CHARM OF SOUTHERN HUNGARY

1st day Arrival in midday at Badacsony. Lunch with wine tasting with a view on
Lake Balaton. Getting to Pécs, overnight.

2nd day After breakfast sightseeing in Pécs: cathedral, mosque of Ghazi Kasim pasha, Zsolnay Museum (porcelain), Vasarely Museum (op art).
Dinner with wine tasting at a cosy wine cellar in Villány. Accommodation in Pécs.

3rd day After breakfast way to Kalocsa. Sightseeing tour and Puszta program.
Lunch with wine. Departure.
